Dexter sketches

I drew this around Easter this year and meant to get it up sooner, but just couldn't. For some reason, recently I've been on an (off-and-on) Fusionfall kick again, even down to re-reading some of 's fics. Since the week up to Easter was pretty much an introvert's worst nightmare (seven straight days of having less than five hours of sleep on average and having to spend over an hour a day interacting with non-family), by the time Easter rolled around, I was a nervous wreck and the only way to keep my sanity was drawing. So that lead to art.

They pretty much speak for themselves (and were kind of me working out angry introverted feelings in some cases,) though the top right one may need a bit of explanation. Like Dexter, I'm very near-sighted and I spend a great deal of time working with computers. The down-side of this has been that my brain sometimes has difficulty controlling my less-dominant eye, so if I'm not focusing properly or I'm particularly tired, said eye decides it's time to take a break and goes and looks off to the side. It gets a bit frustrating and I'm sure it's unnerving for people who don't expect it. So, I just had an idea of Dexter's eyes doing that when he's tired. It could also contribute to clumsiness (I have crap depth perception because of this.) But of course, this is just me speculating.

(Also, the computer he mentions in the top left, the 80486 or i486 is the first computer I ever used, and I used that same basic explanation to my dad during one of the particularly bad days. Lucky for me, he understood and thought it was funny.)
